Dirtying Teeth:
This is one of the most fun I've had in a practical session. I think that sometimes a model's natural teeth can spoil a look. Especially if you are doing make up on someone who's character brief is that they've been in a boxing fight, you'd hardly expect them to have all of their teeth now would you?You can colour the teeth or black them out. A character who smokes would have yellower teeth so 'Nicotine' is a purchasable colour from Kryolan. It's really easy to do and it's so effective.
Tools/Equipment:
- Tooth enamel
- Cotton buds
- Surgical Spirit (For removal)
- Fine detail brush
Method:
- Clean the tooth/teeth that you'll be working on with a clean cotton bud. You want it to squeak against the tooth as any liquid will cause the tooth enamel to bleed
- Taking another baby bud, decant some of the product and apply to the tooth/teeth.
- Build up layers until happy. Wait until each layer is dry.
- Go in with a fine detail brush and paint in between the teeth.
- To remove, dip a clean baby bud into some surgical spirit and wipe off of the tooth. Avoid the gums as it can cause irritation
